cannot extract annotation contents

On a large pdf with many comments by 3 different co-authors, I get the following error when I execute:

M-x org-noter-pdftools-create-skeleton
Annotations
Text notes
DONE
Should we insert the annotations contents? y

pdf-info-query: epdfinfo: Expected a relative rectangle: 0.508551 1.214778 0.548869 1.243286

If I answer the final question with n, it does insert a skeleton with "note on page 1" etc. but this isn't very useful except for allowing me to jump between annotation.

I hope this is enough info to help resolve the bug, unfortunately I cannot share the PDF that causes this issue :(.
