DwC recommends a controlled vocabulary for https://dwc.tdwg.org/list/#dwc_reproductiveCondition.

Examine whether external sources exist and generate an overview of verbatim values, if possible.

Hey Cecilie, we are proposing to iNaturalist to use this DwC field for their "Flowers and Fruits" annotation, the conversation is here: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/map-more-annotations-to-dwc-fields/55167/2

You can see the vocab here: https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/51597-Pittosporum
Looks like it's a multi value field as well

and just to expand on this specific annotation and its 4 values:

If you select 'no flowers or fruits', it instantly locks out the other 3 options

The other 3, however, are not mutually exclusive, and you can pick just 1, any combination of 2 of them, or all 3 simultaneously if applicable

Thanks, Peggy - I voted for the addition since it would also be a great addition to GBIF. I'll keep the concepts in mind for any potential vocabulary development. It complicates things a bit when it is multivalue, but the variations should be covered somehow.

Oh! I've voted for it too now. Thanks Cecilie, it might go into your iNaturalist extract as well.
