Q about css wrapper width

Is it possible to make the with default to 800px, that leaves us with 720px of usable space in the content width.

520px is just crazy small.

Or better if somehow we can make it configurable?

All you have to do is change the max-width property in the theme's css file, style.css. By default it is 600px. Probably would be best to change it under all the places the number 600 occurs.
