Add a method to test the connection

Basically, just send a fake message. Nice to see how the message looks in the channel and also to verify connection credentials are correct.

I'd rather not wait until a new error pops in to know if it's set up right. :)

I'd love to see this feature as well, every time I configure a project or make a config change it's frustrating ot have to wait for app errors to see if it's hooked up right.
