Hi @arsulegai , I am Chetan Dehane, a contributor to OpenForce 2022. I would like to work on this issue. I would be making a PR as soon as I am done with resolving the issue. Thank you |
Since this is an announcement, can you please do a research and see if it makes sense to have a flash appear in the homepage itself? For instance, there should be easy to edit place (let's say that it is one of Hyperledger's wiki page) where a staff member who is non-technical can make announcements. These announcements could have text and optional images. The website https://start-here.hyperledger.org shall automatically pick those announcements and show up as a nice UI here on the home page. |
Hey @arsulegai if we add flash appear in the homepage itself, Clean UI of home page will be gone. we want keep homepage UI as simple as possible. so that's why i've added separate announcement page. this page will pick announcement from multiple hyperledger's wiki page, those announcement can have images its depend on original announcement itself. |
I am available for a demo or a chat on discord at arsulegai#7968. You can join Hyperledger Foundation's discord at https://discord.gg/hyperledger |
hey @arsulegai i've sent you msg on discord please check it out. |
Still open? I saw a PR for it. |
@smyja I discussed what needs to be done with @ChetanDehane on a call. |
Hi @arsulegai , is the issue solved? |
The latest announcement can be an iframe or an extract of another page on wiki. That is more easy to edit and doesn't require a commit or formatting here on GitHub. This way the events information such as Hyperledger Global Forum, scholarship availability etc can be displayed to beginners as a banner.
