Terminal History retention

I think it would be a nice perk to be able to setup retention in setting as in if I’m doing something and I close the app and come back later all the previous console history is still there. In a way always the same console that I can just drop in and then drop out of. This would be an optional feature because I know some people would hate it. But seams like an easy to implement neat feature to me!
