Do the following steps:

  1. Do what this article tells: https://support.apple.com/en-us/108387.
  2. Open Terminal and paste this script: sudo /bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jaku/SnapCameraPreservation/main/mac.sh)". Type your password and hit Return afterwards.
  3. Wait for the script to complete. Accept every permission that shows up for SnapCamera.
  4. Quit the app that you want to use SnapCamera and open that app again.
  5. Choose SnapCamera and enjoy.

IMPORTANT: If you restart your Mac, you have to run the script in step 2 again. This is my solution and it works for me, hope it works for you as well.
