Wheel 0.34.2 package error while installing elastalert-0.2.1

Hi Team,

I am installing elastalert-0.2.1 on elasticsearch v 7.14 on centos 7.4.1708 on AWS instance.

I am installing this via automation but due to below error its stopped.

I can see below packages are installed which includes wheel, elastalert also.

trying to see the elastalert version by command but getting error for all possible options like -v, --version

It was said that the version of the related library was different. You don't know anything. No matter how much it can be.

Can you please tell me what happened? I understood it was causing problem due to different version of same library (one version might already installed and other version trying to get installed while i get above error) trying to get installed and hence you advice to create virtual env which i did and installed latest elastalert.

Feel free to use elastalert instead of elastalert2. Supported is elastalert2. Operation is not guaranteed when elastalert and elastalert2 are placed in the same virtual environment. If you do not make an inquiry even if it does not work properly, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you can't trust elastalert2, use elastalert forever. It's personal freedom.
