Flu won't go away despite drinking Cornberry tea (character does not sneeze)

My character got the flu from being in the rain previously but managed to overcome it after a few days. This time it doesn't seem to be going away (1 and a half in-game weeks) even after drinking Cornberry tea. (drunk hot). Does the character need to be warm while drinking it? (currently comfortable) The lack of sneezing also suggests that there might be a bug, as other characters that had the flu sneezed whilst having it.
