Some apps (such as nzb360 and HomeAssistant) have a feature to connect to one URL if you're on a local network and another if you're not local and connecting remotely.
This is usually handled by looking at what wifi network the device is connected to and using the local address if a specific network is recognized.
This has the advantage of only using local traffic when possible, and seamlessly switching when not on the same local network.
Is this a useful feature for others as well?
