Just attempted to export a Blender file (or selected object?) using the addon . After a short interval, I closed Blender and got a BSOD, SYSTEM_EXCEPTION_NOT_NOTED. On recovery, I note that I seem to have a well-formed file with a .ter extension. I saw no message or change in the top bar that indicated whether a process was in progress or completed, so I might have exited Blender before the process was complete. Adding some kind of progress indicator might help the unwary user.

Using Blender 2.79b in Windows 10 latest
msi Apache Pro i7 with NVidia GTX960M, 16GB RAM

Thank you @asterlil to note this, as i don't have a Windows machine it will be a bit diffcult for me to reproduce the problem. I will try in Ubuntu, maybe this happens also on linux OS, But i agree with you adding a progress indicator will be nice!

@asterlil in Ubuntu 18.04 and blender 2.79 it doesn't crash. For now you can run the blender executable in a console, it should outptut some simple stats of the export/import process, but I don't know how Windows will display the infos as i'm not a Windows user. Sorry but i can't help so much in this sense.
Note only that the exporter works only on single terrain for now. and experimentally may import some tiled terrain.
