1. Is this request related to a challenge you're experiencing? Tell me about your story.
As a user of Dify, I have encountered a challenge where I need to automate certain tasks at specific intervals. Currently, Dify's workflow capabilities are limited to manual triggers or event-based triggers. This limitation makes it difficult for me to create fully automated workflows that run on a schedule, such as sending daily reports, updating databases at regular intervals, or performing maintenance tasks.
2. Additional context or comments
I have noticed that n8n, another workflow automation tool, provides a "Cron" trigger node that allows users to set up workflows to run at specific times or intervals using cron expressions. This feature is incredibly useful for creating scheduled tasks and has become a standard in many automation tools.
Adding a similar timed trigger node to Dify would greatly enhance its automation capabilities. It would allow users to:
Schedule workflows to run at specific times of the day, week, or month.
Use cron expressions to define complex schedules.
Automate repetitive tasks without manual intervention.
This feature would be particularly beneficial for users who rely on Dify for business operations, data management, and other time-sensitive tasks. It would also help Dify compete with other automation tools in the market that already offer this functionality.
3. Can you help us with this feature?
