I have a laptop with intel 630 and GTX 1060 and running into the black screen problem.
I can always roll back with the uninstall script, but with the pre_ and install script I got the same error as with the standard script.
Unfortunately, I haven't found any proved working tutorial to get ist done - and no idea how to fix ist.
Performance of CL ist pretty good, however, without a solution for my laptop I have to give ArchL a try,
Maybe there is a way to port the optimus-manager??

Regards,

Mario

PS: Any German background for the nickname lebensterben?

NVIDIA officially says that the driver may not work on Optimus laptops unless you can disable the integrated GPU.

There're various guides online for other distros. Arch proposed a method to use nvdia-xrun and I've ported it a while ago.

Unfortunately, I cannot verify whether it works, because I don't have such laptops.

The name comes from the lyrics of a song popular during 2006 Word Cup in Germany:

wir leben und wir sterben hier
