Howto Enable Heartbeat and Trigger Monitoring in IDM4.txt

 1. add the public IS4IT package repo at https://iam.is4it.de/public/packages/ to Designer (Preferences - Novell - Package Manager - Online Updates)
 2. check for package updates and install the packages „AIE-Driver Monitoring“, „AIE-Driver Monitoring Resources“ and „AIE-Schema Extensions (Driver)“, restart Designer
 3. add the package „AIE-Driver Monitoring“ to the driver(s) you want to monitor (the other two packages will be installed as dependencies on the driverset automatically)
 4. configure the monitoring GCVs on both driverset and driver to meet your requirements
 5. save the schema extension in the <driverset>\iamCommon-Resources\iamSchema-aieDriverExtensions resource object to a file, e.g. aieDriverExtensions.sch
 6. import the aieDriverExtensions.sch schema into the ID Vault in Designer and deploy (or extend the schema with ndssch or ice or iManager directly)
 7. deploy, restart the driver(s)
 8. add --hb-attr, --hbc and/or --hbw parameters for the driver to nrpe.cfg
 9. (optional) add the --br option for better readability in HTML display
10. wait for or reschedule next service check for the driver

Schema extension example:

nrpe.cfg config example:
