Unfortunately the Meta Quest controllers somehow are not directly recognized like any other controller.
Albeit RetroArch is sideloaded on a Meta Quest device, a controller should be also paired, else it's impossible to control the UI nor the games.
Actually the Meta Quest controller is not 100% optimal for the most modern systems as the D-Pad is missing (can be emulated trough analogue) and there is only one button that can be used for both start a and select (maybe a single press can be start and a long press can be select).
Hotkeys should be edited to be used with the limited number of buttons.
For the older systems this is enough imho as the Meta Quest now can emulate up the PSX and PSP, and for most of these systems/games it's fine.
