On route view, hovering over blinking dots temporarily pauses blink animation

This issue pertains to blinking dot interaction behavior on a minimal route diagram, such as the one here (https://weekender.netlify.com/line/c), and not the main slippy map.

On one such diagram, hovering over multiple blinking dots in succession, doing so will cause the blinking dots to stop blinking. This is hard to describe in just words, so here's a GIF:

The expected behavior is that blinking dots that are not being hovered should continue their blinking animation, since they are not currently being interacted with. However, a blinking dot that is being hovered by the mouse cursor should remain solid white.
