To better reproduce the MF35 covariance block structure for incoming neutron energy, SANDY adds extra incident energy points for which the outgoing particle distribution is interpolated.
To simplify the interpolation, all the distributions are restructured on a union grid containing all the points provided for each of them.
Consequently, it is not rare to see hundreds of incident incoming energies that have outgoing particle distributions defined over thousand of energy points.
This situation is not accepted by NJOY2016 (acer) that will raise a memory allocation error.
