While that commit combined with commit 57b258a seems to help with a different problem (background of the systray seems to be painted with the background color now), they break 'Dynamic' size option.

So, with the attached settings, just with width type changed to dynamic, lxpanel ends up too small in length to display even the whole pager, much less anything past it. I've got 9 wm desktops, so the pager is quite long, but everything fits if lxpanel is set to percent widthtype at 50%.

First of all, as it should be semi-obvious, it's just gtk+3 - lxpanel code with gtk+2 was pretty decent, it's the porting that was done half-heartedly.
