I understand what you're doing with both of these words, but I suspect a more general audience won't understand how to interpret them. I love your explanation of why you chose íviðjur over íviði, but it might be nice to define these terms as well.

Turning this into general discussion of how the Index can be referenced. One idea I have is to divide it into a few parts, Cultural (C), Mythological Proper Noun (M) and Heroic/Historical Proper Noun (H). Then indicate that a term is available in one part of the index by a superscript (or subscript?) initial. Example: "Nine Inwithiesᴹ", or "A harrowꟲ he built for me.
I'm wondering what the value would be in separating the index into categories like this. I see that it creates a way to tell the reader to go look in the index via a sub/superscript but I'm curious if you see additional value in it.
