There's nothing in this section as far as I'm aware that actually constitutes opinion, so I wouldn't weaken the message by making it sound like opinion. Specifically, I think what you're saying will come across more strongly and authoritatively if you remove all of the first-person references here. So for example, rather than "I believe that these myths and poems are a common Germanic or Northern European heritage..", I recommend just dropping the phrase "I believe that", and leave the rest of the sentence as is.
