At Mattermost, we are using our mobile devices daily at work. This how-to document provides guidance on what steps you need to take when planning to migrate to a new phone.
NOTE: If you’ve lost your mobile phone, please refer to the How To Handle a Lost Mobile Device guide.
If you use GSuite two-factor authentication, please follow these steps:
- Open https://myaccount.google.com/security
- Click 2-Step Verification
- You will be prompted to log in again to prove your identity
- Click on Change Phone and follow the provided steps
- (Optional) If you’ve changed your phone number, update the phone number in the Google Security Center as well
If you use OneLogin two-factor authentication, please follow these steps:
- Open https://mattermost.onelogin.com/
- Log in with your OneLogin credentials
- Click on your name in the top right and select Profile
- Press the small plus on the right-hand side next to 2-Factor Authentication
- Depending on the two-factor method you are using:
- Google Authenticator
- Select Choose Vendor in Google Authenticator
- Enter the Name "Mattermost OneLogin"
- Scan the barcode with the Google Authenticator app on your phone
- Enter the security code shown on your mobile phone to finish the setup
- OneLogin Protect
- Select Choose Vendor in OneLogin Protect
- Select your device type
- Open the mobile app and scan the bar code
- Follow the instructions on your mobile phone
- Google Authenticator
- Remove the old two-factor device using the “Revoke” button next to it on your OneLogin profile
