Is this plugin still worthwhile?

Due to the inventions of emeril, stove, knife-supermarket, is this plugin still a valuable resource?

I've been spending some time recently to see if refactoring this into better methods and testable functionality (as well as replace some of the git functions with better ones), but I don't know if it's with the effort.
