Hi,
I have mornin’, but I’m not sure how to get the encryption key.

What I did:
Logcat
Reading the source code of mornin+

Hi, jacobmirror :)

We don't need to read the source code of the Android app.

Is there any log displayed in the Logcat when you connected the Android device to PC and started the mornin'+ app?

@jacobmirror Hello, jacobmirror.

I released a web application for generating encryption keys.
https://morninp-enckey-generator.herokuapp.com/

To use this generator...

  1. Get the shared QR code image from the app (iOS or Android app).
  2. Decode the QR code as a Hex String. For example, you can use ZXing Decoder Online.

  3. Paste the Hex String to the generator.

I know this is a couple years later, but is that generator app still available? I don’t have an Android device — I’ve only got iOS devices. Is there a way to get the api key from the iOS app without that web app? Or is there a way to rehost the web app?

Thank you!

Hi. I just got the restarted the web app.

However, this library (and component) itself is old.
Also, I haven't used this device recently, so there is no guarantee that library will still work.

i’m curious — did you move onto using another device? i know there’s switchbot but i’ve not had luck with my curtains so i’m trying this. the only others i can find are some zigbee ones from outside of japan.
