To simplify the UI and the request editing logic the URL editor is planned to be removed in Q4 2020. The end-user now can use the server selector to provide the base URI if needed and the rest of URI/query parameters can be defined in the request editor.

Action items:

  • Gather analytics for request URL usage in Anypoint platform
  • Evaluate risks of removing the URL editor:
    • Is there unrelated to the console feature that requires custom input from the user?
    • Are users prefer URL editor over form below?
  • Add deprecation message to the request editor for period of at least 2 months
  • Enable feedback channel from the internal teams, clients, and the community
  • Remove the URL editor and move the URL computation logic directly to the request editor.
