Set sessions. Frequency and length. (Recommend 1h 15m every other week 6 times)
Discuss goals and expectations of group members
Language(s) do we want to try lots, a few or stick with one
Do we want the context of the code, or guess
Intro people in the group including experience & types of programming

Add to choosing code, getting prep for session section of guide?

Exercises

These exercises are best carried out when the code can fit on one or two pages.

You will need:

a printed copy of the code for today's club
coloured pens, crayons or pencils
--OR--
a digital copy of the code for today's club that you can scribble on
