Uberon release page is broken and this is reflected in BioPortal #1617
Comments
For completeness, I'll add that I contacted BioPortal, here's Jennifer Vendetti's reply for reference: "I downloaded the latest submission of UBERON and looked at the ontology source file. I can confirm that it’s the version you requested, i.e.: … The contents of the Version column is misleading, and a product of the fact that BioPortal checks for version numbers in OWL ontologies by examining the owl:versioninfo property. UBERON uses the owl:versionIRI property, which is why you don’t see the value of this property reflected in the Version column. There are a couple of issues in our GitHub repositories that provide more detail: ncbo/bioportal-project#168 Hope that information helps. Kind regards, |
Note to self - see if this is out of date now |
uberon.github.io will be deprecated, and I've "pinged" the ncbo tracker re BioPortal not displaying versionIRI (see Jennifer's links above), so I'll close this. |
I opened a related issue: #2059. |
Hi (@cmungall ),
The links in the Uberon release page (https://uberon.github.io/) are somewhat broken.
This issue seems to be reflected in BioPortal where the Version Numbers, Release and Download dates look unreliable: https://bioportal.bioontology.org/ontologies/UBERON
I was looking to download the CSV file from BioPortal, but I can't be sure it's the latest version. I was going to ask BioPortal, but I suspect the issue would need to be fixed at the source first.
On the same topic, are release notes generated for Uberon please?
In case it's useful, these issues were reported in #1463, #1560 and #1598.
Many thanks for looking into this!
