I'm deciding whether to change head unit in pq35 car to mib std2 pq +/nav , but i do not understand what the toolbox does. All the directories just say place whatever files here.

Can this at least enable wired android auto for the rare times I would want to use it for navigation?

I think maybe mirror link is the android auto stuff? But his is the latest file with some config I found, but it was deleted since from the source https://github.com/olli991/mib-std2-pq-zr-toolbox/blob/f916fbed01187065a3b92781b246359065068327/custom/mirrorlink/mirrorlink.config.common.xml maybe VNC viewer is somehow related to the android auto/carplay?

Or maybe this can even enable some kind of internal navigation app? Ie. https://github.com/olli991/mib-std2-pq-zr-toolbox/tree/master/custom/java - will this work on any unit? Some of the units people selling do not way they have NAV (altrough on sticker it does say +/NAV)

If you aren't safe which Software and Unit u got:
-> hold menu button for a few seconds
--> click software update/versions
---> read given Informations like:
---> Installed SW train version
---> Installed SW MU Version
---> Partnumber

Read everything carefully.
Andorid Auto/CarPlay means app-connect, smart-link, ... Mirror-Link is the old Infotaiment connection software. Most of MIB1 Units only supports Mirror-Link.
This toolbox will help u activate app-connect, voice-controll, remove CID-lock, ...
Installation Only possible if u have Nav. with 2 SD slots in glovebox
