I feel foolish enough asking, but I'm getting mixes responses on discord and reddit.

Is it possible?
My firmware was updated to MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0254T.

Device part number is: 3Q0035846

I don't have access to an OBD11 and I'm just doing it to one car. Can I install the tool box to enable car play and android auto without it?

I was hoping there would be like a raspberry pi way with gpios or com port way.. or even open up the headunit way( last resort). I just don't want to buy a license for something I'll use once, especially for an old car.

You can install toolbox, but unfortunately if you can't enable green menu it's useless because you can't use it. Fortunately you can use ready patch for your unit, download this and update your unit with it.

Hello,
the site https://mibwiki.one/ is down and I hope you can guide me through the steps of preparing the SwaP/FEC patch with SD card. I have not yet tried to install GEM or toolbox, since I dont have any tools. But I have read that you don't need GEM and can only install toolbox, but you can't use it in that case since you can't access it)
