mib_STD2 with one SD slot+no navi button

Hi all, I bought obd11 few weeks ago to enable developers mode but find out my multimedia unit not accepting any update.
In obd11 live deta shows NEW VERSION available but I dont know how to update.
I can access to green menu but toolbox option not there.

Can someone please help me

Hello, the same thing happens to me, I was able to activate the green menu but there is no toolbox, I have mib2 st2 because with an SD port, if you know anything, please tell me, thank you

Unfortunatelly can't be done the easy way. I'm struggling to get this done thru "MIB STD2 PQ/ZR without soldering" method which involves the use of 2 usb 2 serial devices and a custom made usb2hsd data cable. Not a piece of cake. If I get thru this hell of a jurney I'll post some info ;)

Hello Chuck! Yeah sure I've managed to get thru the doors of hell and get me a working appconnect with fully functional. It wasn't easy but I can tell you all you need to do it yourself.

Just follow the instructions from the PDF bellow and that's it REALLY!!!:

Parts I ordered and bought:

• USB2HSD cable (Type: 3, USB M --> HSD ZF... or find a better one with ground connected already cause this one is cheaper for a reason) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006469069295.html
• TTL Adapter (be careful to put the adapter to 3.3V instead of 5V cause it might damage the circuitry on the head unit) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006127270224.html
• power supply 12V, 3A (i've got it from a friend but you have to be sure that it's capable of 3A or more and that the voltage is 12V and not 11,4V or 12,8V cause you might have troubles)
• usb 2.0 hub (for easier connection of the two TTL adapters)
• solder and soldering skills

My working desk hours before finishing to setup the working environment:

The main struggle for me wasn't finding the right parts and connect everything but was a "misunderstanding" of how fragile signal flow may be if you don't know enough in the electrical part of that specific working domain. I struggled with interferences on the signal path connecting the usb2hsd cable. Main reason was "GROUND"! I got strange characters from J5 and imx6 data exchange which leaded to even more strange errors from both the putty consoles. Ended up doing my own cable, disassembling the original cable which I ordered from aliexpress and disassembling an old but thicker printer cable and connect and solder it together. It looked like "frankenstein" but it did the work flawlessly:
