Hello,

I think introducing a batch modification feature for groups of selected features could be very practical!

This operation could be integrated into the feature list, accessible when multiple features from the same layer are selected. Under the existing "Delete selected feature(s)" option, a new choice could be added, such as "Batch modification" or "Group modification".

Selecting this option would open a form allowing users to:

  • Specify fields to be left unchanged
  • Modify selected fields (with visual alerts, like color changes, indicating different field values among selected features)

The existing UI layout could be used for this operation, with checkboxes on the right used to designate which fields are to be modified. Unchecking a box would indicate that the corresponding field should remain unchanged upon saving.

What do you think?
Might be more or less similar to this post: https://github.com/opengisch/QField/issues/2089
Thanks!

Is this different to multi edit?

This feature is not available in my case. It is always grey.
Maybe because I'm using relations.

Is this option allows the user to choose the fields to update ?

Are you in editing mode? (sorry for the stupid question)

Is this option allows the user to choose the fields to update ?

If you look at this scene from the video, only one of two fields are applied:

Hi,

I mixed it with Merge 😅

It works really well. However, you can't edit dependencies from the edited layer when there is a relation between features.
Anyway, I simply have to open the list of the relation layer to do the same "multi-edit" thing.

Thank you for the information!
I think I can close this issue.
