oVirt 4.5 and ManageIQ

asking dumb question, i'm trying to setup ManageIQ for managing our oVirt cluster. Already add our oVirt cluster in provider (authentication already verified, metrics are disabled) , but it doesnt collect any information from our cluster (such as hosts, vm, etc). Using oVirt 4.5.4 and freshly installed Oparin. maybe someone can help me to point what's missing here. thanks before.

Hi @harajukakei we have tested RHV 4.4SP1 (ovirt-4.5) for the upcoming petrosian release and everything worked without any changes so I would expect oparin to also work.

Can you check a few things for me?

First go to the provider dashboard and switch to summary view:

Then can you post this section that shows the auth status, refresh status, and last refresh date? (This is a vSphere so yours will look slightly different)

If you haven't had a successful refresh but it has tried to run, can you grab the evm logs? If you are on an appliance you can use journalctl, ideally just the logs for the ovirt refresh_worker slice: journalctl -u manageiq-providers-ovirt_infra_manager_refresh.slice > ovirt_infra_manager_refresh.log

last refresh status is showing never. any idea what misses here ? using journalctl -u manageiq-providers-ovirt_infra_manager_refresh.slice doesnt show anything.

Okay so Default Credentials: None is the problem here. This sounds like a bug we had previously let me go through the old issues and see if I can find it.

okay, thanks. I'll try to check another things too. try to deploy najdorf last night, and its showing same thing too.

I think the bug would be in upgrade, but the fix should be to just re-add your credentials. Edit the provider and re-add the credentials to continue on.

already try to edit and re-add the credential, validation are succeed, but after saving it, still same.
