Syntax highlight broken for bash

shell code blocks syntax highlight is broken when inside unordered list items:

The same doesn't happen on ordered list or in other contexts:

I tested other languages, and it looks like the problem is only with shell on uls.

Sorry, I should have been more detailed, this happens in VsCode with the https://github.com/mdx-js/mdx-analyzer/tree/main/packages/vscode-mdx plugin, that's why I put images instead. Here are some samples

OK. Well. 2 things.

a) your numbered lists are, in short, “wrong”.
Because the 1 + . + is 3 characters, that means you need to use 3 spaces. Not 2.

b) whether grammars work together depends on the different grammars and the tool you use it in. I do not see the same problem in the grammar when using JavaScript or CSS in markdown or MDX for example: https://wooorm.com/markdown-tm-language/. I cannot see your problem on GitHub either.
So, it could be a VS Code problem. It could be a shell grammar problem. It could be that vscode-mdx is a bit more out of date than the grammar itself. No clue

I see the same thing happening in regular markdown. The following is a markdown code block:

So there are issues in both the MDX and the unrelated markdown grammar used by GitHub and VSCode by default. I think this shows some grammars just aren’t really suited for embedding, especially when indentation is involved.
