Build problems

Hi!
Not a bug of the app itself.

I have trouble to build the project.
Which Java Version, gradle Version (I use 8.9), and what else do you suggest?
Can not build from command line, and not from AndroidStudio.
Just made a new clone, and only used command line - because AndroidStudio adds some things, like graddle-7.x for example.

I use Android Studio Koala.

Fun fact, I actually only wanted an *apk to put on my MEE Book 10Pro.
It is not "urgent".

That conflict of gradle 8.9 versus 7.0 is not uncommon, but I found no solution yet.

P.S. last days I could not get it from F-Droid with the F-Droid app, today I finally made it with an ordinary web browser :D -- However I would like to tinker around, especially with your (planned?) eBook/epub integration

Please use gradle 8.9, and Java 19.
And, latest Android Studio (the one I am using now is Android Studio Ladybug Feature Drop | 2024.2.2 Canary 9
