Largely a limitation as there's no function to detect whether the GPS is open, and findDisplay on the idd doesn't return the state so probably an engine issue - much like the main map display always being considered active when it's not. Would need to dig through RscDisplay stuff more or somehow find a way to detect based on the input that toggles it.
