Qt6 on Ubuntu 20

I am converting Qt-DAB from using Qt5 to Qt6. For that purpose I installed Qt6 on U20 and compiled qwt 6.3.
If I am following the process of building an AppImage I see that
(a) the report states that building is successful,
(b) however, all non-Qt libraries, including qt, also like libfdk-aac are not part of the set that are built into the AppImage

For comparison: using Qt5 for building an AppImage works fine

any ideas?
