exclude specific author ins Author List

i am using the series plugin and also the author plugin.
i want to display an author listing / index that displays all authors EXCEPT a specific one.
i need to remove the specific author from all listings, preferably also from the table of contents listing.
i looked through all your documentation, but couldn't find anything.

how do i achieve this?
