Complete NOOB Beginner Lost trying to get Tourbox Neo to work on Linux Mint #8
-
I installed Mint last week because I just had enough of windows. Sketchy as, the window's OS. But now, as I'm trying to get this Tour box Neo Controller to work so I can do my artwork. I installed this, that, and still can't. There isn't a absolute beginner's or any full guide out there for a step by step for Newbies. I'm almost at the stage of pulling my hair. lol I was hoping if any of you can spare your time to share your experience on how to get this Tour box driver working on a completely new Linux Mint OS. Step by step if you can. Much appreciated! :) Thanks! Hope to hear back soon! Peace! XD |

Having the exact same issue as you. Don't know anything about Linux and switched recently, bought a Tourbox Neo so I could do artwork and fit my Huion tablet on my desk without having to constantly move things around and such... didn't realize there wasn't a dedicated Linux driver, and now am nearly pulling my hair out as well, did you ever figure out how to get it to work? If so please let me know, thanks. |

Sorry I never responded to this. @DimensionXx The instructions are on the README.md: https://github.com/raleighlittles/Tourbox_Neo_Linux_Driver?tab=readme-ov-file#usage To see which serial port the device is using, the easiest way is to have Then you can look at the documentation to see how the tourbox keys are mapped onto Linux: https://github.com/raleighlittles/Tourbox_Neo_Linux_Driver/tree/main/docs (and you can also change these to whatever you like) Hope that helps! |

To see which serial port the device is using, the easiest way is to have
dmesg
pulled up while you first connect the device. Then you'll pass that in as the first argument when running the program. Then you can look at the documentation to see how the tourbox keys are mapped onto Linux: https://github.com/raleighlittles/Tourbox_Neo_Linux_Driver/tree/main/docs (and you can also change these to whatever you like)
