The package is great but is in beta version yet.

It is approaching stable slowly. I'd say fewer people use this compared to using audio_service directly, so it takes a while longer to get testing feedback.

If you want to help, consider reviewing or trying out the latest pull request #914 which I would want to incorporate before stable.

Hi @ryanheise,

I'm considering just_audio_background for an app I'm working on. The use case is the following:

  • Play HLS audio in background on Android and iOS
  • Handle playlists

As just_audio_background is still in beta, do you think that the library is stable enough for my need? In your opinion, do you think there are some "danger zones"?

I've been considering replacing an older audio plugin by just_audio and just_audio_background for a while, it's a great eco-system of audio plugins! But I am a bit afraid about the many open issues there are for the background part. Do you think @ryanheise that once the #914 PR is merged the plugin will be "reasonably" safe to be used in production?
