I ended up just doing it manually, Created an API route inside of next that returns a pre-signed URL, and then created another endpoint that is called after I upload (from the client) to add information to my database..... not ideal in anyway which is why things like uploadthing exists but... I don't want my app to depend on yet another service.

If anyone adds this to their app let me know how it goes or if you run into any issues.
