If the app is actively monitoring an anchorage, it should attempt to re-launch itself and resume location monitoring if it is killed (by the user or iOS).

Ideas to accomplish this:

  • Set a geofence and rely on region monitoring
  • Some kind of repeated timer/local notification that can be delivered and wake the app up
