When using the POTA feature, a CQ attracts multiple stations which send their call simultaneously. If AGN or ? is sent, the same result is heard with all the stations sending at the exact same time. The tone is almost impossible to breakout one station. This makes it near impossible to distinguish any call from the pileup.
In reality, I've heard stations stagger their calls to help differentiate themselves from the pile-up, even slightly. Could you add a slight delay so the user can eliminate at least one station from the pile?
Alternatively, having hunter stations send their call again if any letter in their call is sent would be more like actual POTA. If three stations that begin with K all call but I can distinguish a Z at the end of one call, I can send just the Z? and get that station to come back. Currently simulated hunter stations only respond if the beginning of their call is sent.
Thanks!
