Python 3.8 is end of life since october 2024 so let's drop 3.8 support.

Since main scientific packages like numpy has already dropped python3.9 ((numpy dropped 3.9 in september 2024)[https://github.com/numpy/numpy/releases/tag/v2.1.1]), I would also consider dropping 3.9...
