There are, in this game, a number of items that can become other items and/or spells. As far as I can discern, these items are handled in the .zzz files, which is somewhat important for me since the unpacked zzz can be loaded on Switch with custom firmware.

Card Mod has some extra potential due to the 1/16 rare cards, like Shumi Tribe from Grats. I'm unsure if there's any way to weight what comes out of a randomizing feature like that at the moment, but if not, that's a whole other can of worms to deal with in another feature.

There are item to magic abilities (L Mag RF cottages to curagas being a particularly famous one), magic to magic abilities (Mid Mag RF), magic to item abilities (Tool RF), and having all of those scrambled would be fun.

I don't know if you can mix things in refinement, though (rerfining an item to cards, or having a tool rf that does magic to magic, et cetera)

These should probably be individual; gf ability refinement is really important sometimes,

still prayin' that someone manages to come through with this

I had to stop after I found the psx data, altered it in Remastered, and it didn't even DO anything to remastered, even when I replaced the entire draw function from PSX with a nop sled

as an update: over in the qhimm discord there's been a bunch of editors posted by Hobbitdur that cover everything here.

I would like to suggest flipping off Remastered. I've worked more on it trying to understand it and it's got no advantage over the older PC release using FFNx.
