Describe the bug
I've noticed that save files can get unintentionally deleted in specific situations. I thought it was a bug with my Non-Stop cheat, but it also consistently happened independent of the cheat (and on the current nightly with no other modifications).

To Reproduce
[SCENARIO 1]

  1. Download the completed save file via the sm64pc builder. This file is 100% complete on file 1, with every other file being empty.
  2. Open the game. On the file select menu, copy file 1 to slot 3.
  3. Start file 3.
  4. Close the game via the Exit Game button in the Settings menu.
  5. Open the game back up. File 1 will be empty.
    [SCENARIO 2]
  6. Compile this branch.
  7. Download the completed save file via the sm64pc builder. This file is 100% complete on file 1, with every other file being empty.
  8. Open the game. Start file 1.
  9. Close the game via the Exit Game button in the Settings menu.
  10. Open the game back up. Start file 2, enable Non-Stop mode via the Cheats menu and collect a star.
  11. Close the game again via the Exit Game button in the Settings menu.
  12. Open the game. File 1 will be empty.

Expected behavior
Save files will not get deleted.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • Windows 10 x64

Additional context
For what it's worth, NODRAWINGDISTANCE, TEXTUREFIX, and EXTERNALDATA are all enabled.

Closing this since the rebase from the official repo appears to have fixed it.
