def: a laboratory which performs assays that verify the identity and quality of cell lines in order to prevent over-subculturing, misidentifion and cross-contamination of cell lines.

def= an organization that performs assays which verify the identity and quality of cell lines.

Not sure if we need the extra info "in order to prevent over-subculturing, misidentification and cross-contamination of cell lines".
