@desputinski, let's define everything that can be an interest. e.g {city: Heilbronn, Berlin, Participation: Demo, Topic: Climate, ...}
Please if you add, add to this very post.

"Interest" should be present/relevant on three different levels:

1. Place/region/town
2. Type of action (demonstration, conference, creative protests etc.)
3. Content related political subjects (ecology/global warming/renewable energies, democracy/democratization, education/education policy, gender topics, unions/working conditions etc. etc.)

Yes, I think interest can be on 3 different levels:

One way to help the users feel safe about their profile is to allow them to print the questionnaire, fill it up, and when they are comfortable, take a photo and let the app fill up the profile for them. Just a Random Idea.
