It would be great just to have to edit a .env file and do "docker-compose up -d" to get up and running with an easy to upgrade voice assistant that is isolated from the host system.

Thank you for your feature request. I'm sorry to say that this project actually will not be maintained activly. At the beginning we tried to use docker containers, but it didn't work at all. Maybe this changed in the meanwhile. But I try to check this out.
Rhasspy already has a dockerized setup ( https://rhasspy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation/#docker ) and other components like Mosquitto and Node-Red should have them too.
