Sync questions

Hey guys! I have two doubts:

1. How does pgsync know what to sync?
2. What is the behavior in case the service breaks during a synchronization?

PGSync uses the triggers and replication slot to determine what to sync.
If the service breaks or is offline for a period then it uses the last transaction id to sync what it has missed so far from the replication slot.
