While the primary entry point to the Regional Rail Explorer will be a journey picking interface similar to what we currently have, it would be super cool to have a view that shows network improvements from the perspective of a single station, such as:
Timetable comparison between scenarios
Some basic information about the station itself (e.g. municipality, daily boardings)
As a stretch goal it would be super cool to integrate some information about the area around a given station, like density, income distribution, racial demographics, etc. Part of the impetus for Regional Rail is to bring service to economically disadvantaged and historically underserved communities, and ideally the Regional Rail Explorer can reflect that. MassGIS might be a good place to start looking for some of this info.
An even stretchier goal would be to add peak drive times to e.g. downtown Boston for a given station (ofc it would be nice, but probably financially impractical, to include dynamic point-point drive time to the journey comparison)
