  Feature: Photographer may snap a photo through ShakeItPhoto
                In order to more easily determine the framing for my shot
                As a photographer
                I would like the ShakeItPhoto viewfinder to indicate what will not be in-frame

  @in-production
  Scenario: Using the default viewfinder
    Given I have not purchased a custom viewfinder for ShakeItPhoto
    When I start to take a picture
    Then the viewfinder looks like the iOS default viewfinder

  @next-release
  Scenario: Using a retro viewfinder
    Given I have enabled the "Retro" viewfinder for ShakeItPhoto
    When I start to take a picture
    Then the viewfinder looks like a retro Polaroid camera viewfinder

From a customer:

Subject: Preview square crop

Message: Hello and thank you, thank you, thank you for creating such a phenomenal tool! I am 99.9% sure that a previous version of ShakeIt Photo allowed you to see the square crop prior taking prior to taking the photo. Is that still an option?

My Response:

Unfortunately, due to changes in iOS's camera APIs we no longer show the preview in the Polaroid style viewfinder. While we would love to build this feature out, ShakeItPhoto is maintained by a team of volunteer photography enthusiasts who work other full-time jobs to pay rent and provide for our families; so we move at a pretty slow pace. That said, we are working on publishing an update to ShakeItPhoto in the next few months, but it will mostly be fixes for modern iOS devices and is unlikely to include this feature.

If you or someone you know is an iOS developer, we would be ecstatic to add them to our list of volunteers! We have a project roadmap, which includes all the source-code and designs used to publish the Moment Park apps to the app store.

As we (slowly) work towards bringing in a sustainable income from Moment Park, we can commit more and more time to maintaining and improving ShakeItPhoto. You can see our quarterly financial summaries here: https://www.zinc.coop/financial-overview/. If you it is safe for you to do so, would you consider making a monthly or annual contribution through our Moment Park fundraising community: https://opencollective.com/moment-park?

I wish I had a better answer for you; and would be beyond excited if you (or someone you know) was interested in implementing this feature for ShakeItPhoto! Put them in touch with me and I'll help them get rolling!

@theInternauts / @maximegalon5 / @user512 - does this seem like a useful seam for getting folks to upgrade/pay an annual "plus" edition for ShakeItPhoto?

From a Customer:

Any chance you could develop a bright line frame or just a plain cropped frame for the iPhone that would be the dimensions of the Polaroid image so you wouldn’t have to guess how much of the picture will be lost to the “Polaroid” crop?

Given the pace at which we're moving, I think even one value-add for a "plus" subscription is probably enough (that way we can tune the value-proposition of a subscription by adding additional nice-to-haves)

Subject: Please make the camera square

Message: The photo frame is square, so please make the camera square as well
